  Smoky Hill River near Enterprise affecting Dickinson County

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety Message...Do not drive into flooded areas. Shallow flowing 
water can wash a car from the roadway. Also, the roadbed may be 
washed out under the water.

Stay tuned to later developments by listening to NOAA Weather Radio 
and local media.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Smoky Hill River near Enterprise.
* from Friday morning to Saturday afternoon.
* At  2:45 PM Wednesday the stage was 23.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by Friday morning and continue to
  rise to near 26.3 feet by Friday evening.The river will fall below 
  flood stage by Saturday morning.
* Impact...At 26.0 feet...Valley north of the Kansas Highway 43 bridge
  on the north side of Enterprise floods.
