PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety Message...Do not drive into flooded areas. Shallow flowing 
water can wash a car from the roadway. Also, the roadbed may be 
washed out under the water.

and local media.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Republican River at Clay Center.
* until Thursday afternoon.
* At 8:30 PM Tuesday the stage was 15.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 16.0 feet by 
  Wednesday morning. The river will fall below flood stage Thursday 
  morning.
* Impact...At 17.0 feet...Flooding occurs between 16th, 17th, and 18th
  Roads and between Limestone and Osage Roads.
