This rainfall is associated with the outer circulation of Tropical Storm Michael. The rainfall will increase in intensity and coverage through the morning and persist for an extended period of time. * The ground across Watauga County is totally saturated from repeated heavy rainfall in recent weeks. Flash flooding and flooding occurred quickly Wednesday evening as a band of heavy rainfall in advance of Hurricane Michael moved through the area. * Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly as rainfall increases across the county during the next few hours. * Some locations that will experience flooding include...
