CAROLINA...CENTRAL CARROLL AND EASTERN GRAYSON COUNTIES IN
SOUTHWESTERN VIRGINIA AND THE CITY OF GALAX...

At 639 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the warned
area. Up to three inches of rain have already fallen. Flash flooding 
Brush Creek was out of its banks and flowing over Scenic valley Road 
several inches deep. Watch for flooding problems along Cub Creek 
near Wilkesboro. Law Enforcement reported several streets closed in 
Wilkesboro and North Wilkesboro due to water flowing over the roads 
including College Street and River Street.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.

including mudslides or flooded roads, to the National Weather Service
