CAROLINA...CENTRAL CARROLL AND EASTERN GRAYSON COUNTIES IN
SOUTHWESTERN VIRGINIA AND THE CITY OF GALAX...

At 541 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the warned
area. Up to three inches of rain have already fallen. Flash flooding 
will continue across the area. The Park Service reported that Brush 
Creek was out of its banks and flowing over Scenic valley Road 
several inches deep. Watch for flooding problems along Cub Creek 
near Wilkesboro.

and Hillsville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.

When it is safe to do so, please send your reports of flooding,
including mudslides or flooded roads, to the National Weather Service
