Flood Warning for the following rivers in North Carolina...

  Haw River Near Bynum affecting Chatham County

Safety message. If you encounter deep water while driving, do not 
attempt to drive through. Turn around, dont drown.

The National Weather Service in Raleigh has issued a 

* Flood Warning for 
  The Haw River At Haw River.
* from Thursday evening to Saturday afternoon, or until the warning 
  is cancelled.
* At  9:45 PM Wednesday the stage was 2.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage by 
  tomorrow evening and continue to rise to near 29.5 feet by Friday 
  morning.The river will fall below flood stage by early Saturday 
  morning.
* Impact...At 30.0 feet, A mill on the left bank begins to flood.

  The Haw River Near Bynum.
* from Thursday evening to late Saturday night, or until the warning 
  is cancelled.
* At  9:45 PM Wednesday the stage was 3.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage by 
  tomorrow late evening and continue to rise to near 18.6 feet by 
  Friday early afternoon.The river will fall below flood stage by 
  Saturday afternoon.
* Impact...At 17.0 feet, Major flood stage. Several homes along the 
  right bank of the river are flooded.
