The Flood Warning continues for
  The Cimarron River near Ames. 
  
* until Thursday morning...or until the warning is cancelled. 
  
* At 11:45 AM Wednesday the stage was 12.1 feet. 
  
* Moderate flooding is occurring. 
  
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet. 
  
* Forecast...The Cimarron River is near crest and will begin falling 
  Wednesday afternoon. The Cimarron River will fall below flood stage 
  early Thursday morning. 
  
  Some tributaries to the Cimarron River including Eagle Chief Creek 
  may experience backwater effects near their confluences with the 
  Cimarron River. Flooding may be increased along these tributaries 
  due to the backwater effects.
  
* Impact...At 12.0 feet...Flooding of rural areas to depths of 2 feet
  extends from near Orienta in Major County...downstream to areas 
  along the Cimarron River in extreme northeastern Blaine County...
  and near the State Highway 51 bridge crossing in Kingfisher County.
  Farmlands...oilfields...and local roads are affected the most by 
  the floodwaters.
