  The City of Bristol in southwestern Virginia...
  Washington County in southwestern Virginia...

* Until 500 PM EDT Thursday.

* At 1055 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause
  flooding. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Johnson City, Bristol Tn, Bristol Va, Elizabethton, Abingdon,
  Erwin, Mountain City, Jonesborough, Banner Hill, Central, Midway,
  Pine Crest, Oak Grove, Walnut Hill, Hampton, Unicoi, Bluff City,
  Glade Spring, Damascus and Watauga.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Keep children away from storm drains, culverts, creeks and streams.
Water levels can rise rapidly and sweep children away.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
