COUNTIES...

At 907 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause
urban and small stream flooding in the advisory area.

Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Maryville, Sevierville, Alcoa, Newport, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge,
Baneberry, Parrottsville, Eagleton Village, Pittman Center, Townsend,
Del Rio, Walland, Bird Crossing, Fairgarden, Clover Hill, Cades Cove,
Round Mountain, Cosby and Harrisburg.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
