In central Virginia, Albemarle, Central Virginia Blue Ridge, Nelson, and Orange. * From 2 PM EDT this afternoon through late tonight * Moisture associated with Tropical Storm Michael will be interacting with a cold front that is expected to move through the area tonight. Periods of showers are expected through tonight, with the heaviest rainfall occurring later this afternoon through this evening. Rainfall amounts around 1 to 2 inches are expected, with localized amounts of 2 to 4 inches possible in heavier showers and isolated thunderstorms.
