The National Weather Service in Wichita has extended the

* Flood Warning for...
  Kingman County in south central Kansas...

* Until 245 PM CDT Thursday.

* At 158 PM CDT, emergency management reported continued flooding 
  concerns in portions of Kingman County. Although flood waters are 
  receding in most locations, numerous roads are still closed due to 
  flood waters. Flooding remains a concern in low-lying areas, rural 
  roadways, and along streams, creeks, and rivers.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Kingman, Norwich, Cunningham, Nashville, Murdock, Waterloo,
  Willowdale, Zenda, Spivey, Cleveland, Penalosa, Mt Vernon, Kingman
  Airport, Rago, Cheney Lake and Cheney State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.
