...Forecast flooding changed from Moderate to Major severity for the 
following rivers in Kansas...

  Ninnescah River Near Belle Plaine affecting Sumner County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two 
feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around don't drown.

...Forecast flooding increased from Moderate to Major severity...
The Flood Warning continues for 
 The Ninnescah River Near Belle Plaine.
* Until Friday evening.
* At 8:30 AM Wednesday the stage was 25.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 26.1 feet by 
  late this evening. The river will fall below flood stage 
  Friday morning.
* Impact...At 26.0 feet...A section of K55 floods with 2 feet of water
  starting from 300 feet east of the river bridge and expanding out 
  to 25 feet wide. Expect flood waters on Highway 81 to expand 
  further south to the Y intersection of K55. The small community of 
  Ponderosa Estates, 5 miles northwest of Belle Plaine, will have a 
  few homes flooded and roads leading into the Estates flooded. 
  Timber Brook Estates will have roads inundated by over a foot of 
  water.
