following rivers in Kansas...

  Neosho River Near Erie affecting Neosho County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two 
feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around don't drown.

...Forecast flooding increased from Moderate to Major severity...
The Flood Warning continues for 
 The Neosho River Near Erie.
* Until Friday afternoon.
* At 3:15 AM Wednesday the stage was 35.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 29.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 36.0 feet by this
  afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage early Friday 
  morning.
* Impact...At 36.0 feet...The intersection of Main Street and just 
  south of 7th Street becomes flooded to a depth of near 10 inches 
  for a distance of 10 to 15 yards.
