The National Weather Service in Wichita has extended the

* Flood Warning for...
  Cowley County in south central Kansas...
  Butler County in south central Kansas...

* Until 1215 PM CDT Wednesday.

* At 1200 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported ongoing flooding 
  along low-lying areas and rural roadways. Radar estimates that 3 
  to 4 inches of rain have fallen in portions of the warned area 
  over the past 24 hours, with additional rainfall of up to an inch 
  possible this afternoon. 

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  El Dorado, Arkansas City, Winfield, Andover, Augusta, Rose Hill,
  Douglass, Towanda, Benton, Udall, Whitewater, Leon, Burden, Potwin,
  Dexter, Elbing, Atlanta, Geuda Springs, Latham and Rosalia.

This includes Interstate 35 between Mile Markers 55 and 95.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
