  Cottonwood River At Cottonwood Falls affecting Chase County.

  Cottonwood River Near Plymouth affecting Chase and Lyon Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two 
feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around don't drown.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Cottonwood River Near Florence.
* Until late Wednesday night.
* At  7:15 PM Tuesday the stage was 23.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 24.5 feet by 
  Wednesday morning. The river will fall below flood stage Wednesday 
  afternoon.
* Impact...At 24.0 feet...Outside the levee system in southeast 
  Florence, flood waters flow across Park Ave Road and reach the 
  foundation of a residential home.

  The Cottonwood River At Cottonwood Falls.
* From this evening until Friday morning.
* At  4:12 PM Tuesday the stage was 8.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by tonight and continue to rise 
  to near 9.5 feet by Wednesday morning. The river will fall below 
  flood stage by Thursday early afternoon.
* Impact...At 9.0 feet...Flooding of low-lying areas and crop land can
  be expected.

  The Cottonwood River Near Plymouth.
* Until Friday evening.
* At  8:00 PM Tuesday the stage was 33.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 32.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 34.3 feet by 
  Wednesday morning. The river will fall below flood stage Friday 
  morning.
* Impact...At 34.0 feet...Road A becomes completely inundated near the
  river gage site, south of Hwy 50. Expect flooding of crops and 
  fields.
