...FLOOD WATCH IS CANCELLED...

The Flood Watch for portions of Central Kansas and South Central
Kansas has been cancelled, as the threat of heavy rain has ended.
However, water levels will be slow to recede in the wake of the
heavy rainfall and flooding concerns will linger. In addition,
river flooding will continue through about mid-week.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING...

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas, including the 
  following areas, in Central Kansas, Chase, Lincoln, Marion, 
  and Saline. In Southeast Kansas, Allen, Chautauqua, Elk, 
  Greenwood, Labette, Montgomery, Neosho, Wilson, and Woodson. 

* Through Wednesday morning.

* Periods of light to moderate rain will continue to impact the
  area through this evening. Additional rainfall amounts of less
  than an inch are forecast, but it will not take much rain to
  exacerbate the ongoing flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

With the Flood Watch remaining in effect, there is the potential
for further flooding based on current forecasts.

You should monitor the forecasts closely and be alert for
possibly further flood warnings. Those living in flood prone
areas should be prepared to take immediate action should further
flooding develop, especially if you live near rivers or streams!
