The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Southern Spartanburg County in Upstate South Carolina...
  Southwestern Union County in Upstate South Carolina...

* Until 345 AM EDT.
    
* At 312 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located 11 miles southwest of Union, or 5 miles west of Rose
  Hill State Park, moving northwest at 40 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  Moore, Roebuck and Woodruff around 340 AM EDT.

Other locations impacted by this dangerous thunderstorm include Cross
Keys, Sedalia, Enoree, Pauline and Cross Anchor.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.

Tornadoes are extremely difficult to see and confirm at night. Do not
