The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Lincoln County in the Piedmont of North Carolina...

* Until 400 PM EDT.

* At 1107 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy tropical rain 
  showers developing atop Lincoln County.  After a recent 2 to 3 
  inch rainfall, an additional 1 to 3 inches of rain may fall 
  through mid-afternoon. Flooding of streams and creeks, as well as 
  urban areas around Lincolnton, and along the highway 27 and 321 
  corridors, is likely to develop.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Lincolnton, Westport, Boger City, Iron Station, Denver, Lowesville,
  Crouse, Vale and Lake Norman.

When it is safe to do so, please report flood waters or landslides
flowing over roads or threatening property to the National Weather
Service by calling toll free, 1, 800, 2 6 7, 8 1 0 1, by posting on

occurred, including roadways, nearby cross streets, stream names and
