Avery County in western North Carolina... * Until 145 PM EDT. * At 839 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated that anywhere from 3 to 6 inches of rain had already fallen across the warned area since yesterday. There remains the likelihood of additional, occasionally heavy tropical rainfall will continue to overspread the region into this afternoon. Streamgages throughout the South and North Toe basins are continuing to rise and flooding is expected to develop.
