...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1245 PM EDT FOR
GREENVILLE AND SPARTANBURG COUNTIES...

At 1014 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated occasionally heavy tropical 
rain showers lingering across the warned area.  It is likely that 
showers will diminish through noon, but flooding along select roads 
and streams will continue all afternoon thanks to ongoing excessive 
runoff.   

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Greenville Downtown, Spartanburg, Greenville Eastside, West
Greenville, Greer, Mauldin, Taylors, Simpsonville, Berea and Five
Forks.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Do not attempt to cross
water-covered roadways, bridges, or low-level crossings. Only a few
inches of rapidly flowing water can carry away your vehicle. It is
not worth the risk. Please TURN AROUND, DON'T DROWN.
