Bell County in central Texas... * Until 400 PM CDT. * At 107 PM CDT, Doppler radar and rain gauges indicated thunderstorms continued to produce heavy rainfall across Temple, Troy and areas along I-35. Automated rain gauges in the area have already reported 1 to 2 inches in the last hour. Excessive runoff from these thunderstorms will cause urban and small stream flooding. Areas that are low lying or usually experience poor drainage are most likely to experience flooding. This means some low water crossings may become impassable. * Some locations that will experience flooding include... Killeen, Temple, Copperas Cove, Harker Heights, Belton, Fort Hood, Nolanville, Morgan's Point Resort, Bartlett, Salado, Little River-Academy, Troy, Rogers and Holland. Additional rainfall of 1 to 2.5 inches is expected over the area. This additional rain will cause minor flooding. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots. && LAT...LON 3087 9762 3090 9782 3103 9791 3106 9791 3132 9742 3124 9734 3128 9728 3099 9707 3089 9726 3076 9733 $$ PS
