warning for the following rivers in South Dakota...Iowa...

  Vermillion River Near Davis
  Vermillion River Near Wakonda
  Big Sioux River at Brandon
 
.The following river forecasts include forecast precipitation through
tonight. Any additional future rains could affect the crest 
forecasts. 
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...Do not drive cars through flooded areas. the water 
depth and road condition may be unsafe.

* until further notice.
* At 06AM Thursday the stage was 1204.00 feet.
* Flood stage is 1204.00 feet.
* At stages near 1204 feet...Significant flooding of crop and pasture
  land begins. Access to the north end of the Big Sioux Recreation Area
  on the west side of Brandon is limited.

* At 07AM Thursday the stage was estimated at 9.90 feet.
* Flood stage is 11.00 feet.
* Forecast...The river will go above flood stage this afternoon and
  crest near 12.1 feet by Friday evening.
* At stages near 12.0 feet...Highway 18 west of Davis will being 
  flooding, and several houses in the western parts of Davis are in 
  danger of flooding.

* from Sunday morning to Tuesday afternoon.
* At 07AM Thursday the stage was estimated at 3.00 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 14.00 feet.
* Forecast...The river will go above flood stage by Sunday October 14
  and crest near 14.3 feet by Monday October 15.
* At stages near 14.0 feet...Minor flooding of low lying areas begins
  in non-leveed areas and some agricultural land will flood if the 
  levees fail.
