...The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a Flood 
Warning for the following rivers in Georgia...

  North Fork Peachtree Creek near Atlanta affecting De Kalb and 
  Fulton Counties

  Peachtree Creek near Atlanta affecting De Kalb and Fulton Counties

.Recent heavy rainfall has caused significant runoff into streams and
rivers which will cause flooding in some areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

All persons with interests along the river should monitor the latest
forecasts...and be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect
life and property.

The latest stage data was furnished in cooperation with the United 
States Geological Survey.

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a
* Flood Warning for 
  The North Fork Peachtree Creek near Atlanta.
* Until further notice.
* At 1 AM Thursday the stage was 11.9 feet...and rising.
* Flood stage is 13 feet.
* At 13 feet...Flood stage is reached. Minor flooding of the 
  natural flood plain begins upstream and downstream from the gage on
  Buford Highway or Georgia Highway 13. This includes low portions of
  the backyards of residential homes on Victory Drive...Dunwoody 
  Place and Converse Drive. This height combined with the flow on 
  South Fork Peachtree Creek may also produce flooding further 
  downstream on Peachtree Creek in Fulton County.

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a
* Flood Warning for 
  The Peachtree Creek near Atlanta.
* Until further notice.
* At 1 AM Thursday the stage was 14.3 feet...and rising.
* Flood stage is 17 feet.
* At 17 feet...Flood Stage is reached with minor flooding along the
  creek upstream and downstream from the gage on Northside Drive. 
  Woodward Way becomes impassable with 1 to 4 feet of water on the 
  road. Front yards of homes will also be flooded. The Atlanta 
  Memorial Park and large portions of the Cross Creek and Bobby Jones
  Golf Courses are flooded. Sections of Hanover West Drive and 
  backyards on portions of Peachtree Battle Avenue will be flood with
  1 to 2 feet of water.
