The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Southern Benton County in east central Iowa...
  Western Iowa County in east central Iowa...

* Until 345 PM CDT.
    
* At 305 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located near Victor, or 11 miles southwest of Marengo, moving
  north at 35 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  Victor and Ladora around 315 PM CDT.
  Marengo around 325 PM CDT.
  Belle Plaine and Luzerne around 335 PM CDT.
  Blairstown around 340 PM CDT.
  Newhall, Van Horne and Keystone around 345 PM CDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Genoa
Bluff, Hannen Lake Park, Watkins, Koszta, Iowa County Fairgrounds,
Lake Iowa Park and Victor.

This includes Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 205 and 217.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.
