Northwestern Johnson County in east central Iowa... * Until 1215 PM CDT Wednesday. * Flooding is ongoing in areas surrounding Coralville Reservoir and in areas upstream due to high lake levels. * Flooding is expected through next Wednesday and likely will continue into the 4th week of October. High flows from the Iowa River continue to pour into the lake from upstream. Although releases from the dam have increased, the lake continues to fill. The forecast is for the lake to rise to around 710.4 feet on October 15th, then will begin falling. Any additional rainfall or changes in dam operations could change this forecast. Some low lying parts of roadways near the lake are closed due to flooding and as the lake rises more areas may become inundated. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
