...Flash Flood Threat into Wednesday...

.The heavy rain threat will increase tonight and into Wednesday 
morning. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected in areas 
that receive repeated rounds of showers and thunderstorms. With 
saturated soils already in place, the rainfall will quickly 
runoff and localized flash flooding will be possible.

AFTERNOON...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of east central Iowa, northeast Iowa, and southeast 
  Iowa, including the following areas, in east central Iowa, 
  Benton, Cedar, Iowa, Johnson, Jones, and Linn. In northeast 
  Iowa, Buchanan, Delaware, and Dubuque. In southeast Iowa, 
  Jefferson, Keokuk, and Washington. 

* Until 1 PM Wednesday.

* Rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected in areas that 
  receive repeated rounds of showers and thunderstorms.

* Any heavy rainfall will lead to significant runoff, which may
  cause localized flash flooding. In addition, the rainfall will
  worsen ongoing river flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that flash flooding is possible.
Monitor forecasts and take action if flash flood warnings are
issued or flash flooding develops.
