The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a

* Tornado Warning for portions of...
  Chatham County in southeastern Georgia...
  Beaufort County in southeastern South Carolina...
  Jasper County in southeastern South Carolina...

* Until 1115 PM EDT.
    
* At 1049 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a
  tornado was located over Fort Pulaski National Monument, moving
  north at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* Locations impacted include...
  Hilton Head Island, Bluffton, Wilmington Island, Fort Pulaski
  National Monument, Bellinger Hill Area, Tybee Island, Hardeeville
  and Pritchardville.

This warning includes I-95 in South Carolina between mile markers 6
and 7.

Tornadoes from tropical storms or hurricanes can form and move very
quickly. TAKE COVER IMMEDIATELY! If you wait until you hear a tornado
it could be too late. Take action now to immediately protect
yourself.
