...Additional Heavy Rain Possible Early Wednesday...

.Some areas this afternoon and this evening picked up another 1 to
2 inches of rain on saturated soils. An additional inch or two is
possible Wednesday morning ahead of a potent fall storm system. This
additional rain will continue to cause river flooding in some
areas and could cause ponding elsewhere, or new flooding near
rivers.

Those residing near rivers and streams should remain prepared for
the potential of rapid rises and flooding, and be ready to seek
higher ground if flooding develops.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM CDT WEDNESDAY...

The Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of Iowa, southeast Minnesota, and Wisconsin, 
  including the following areas, in Iowa, Allamakee, Chickasaw, 
  Clayton, Fayette, Floyd, Howard, Mitchell, and Winneshiek. In 
  southeast Minnesota, Dodge, Fillmore, Houston, Mower, Olmsted, 
  Wabasha, and Winona. In Wisconsin, Adams, Buffalo, Clark, 
  Crawford, Grant, Jackson, Juneau, La Crosse, Monroe, Richland, 
  Taylor, Trempealeau, and Vernon. 

* Until 7 AM CDT Wednesday

* Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches expected, with locally 
  higher amounts possible. 

* Prolonged moderate to heavy rainfall will result in rising 
  water on rivers and streams. Some flooding is expected. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

Please monitor weather conditions and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action if flooding develops.
