...The National Weather Service in Gaylord has issued a flood warning
for the following rivers in Michigan...

  Pine River near Rudyard AFFECTING Chippewa County

.Recent moderate to heavy rainfall over the last few days has 
resulted in rises on the Pine River at Rudyard. The river is expected 
to reach flood stage around daybreak Thursday morning, before 
dropping back below flood stage early Thursday afternoon. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...

Persons in the warned areas should take steps to protect property 
from rising water levels. 

The National Weather Service in Gaylord will issue another statement 
on this developing situation Thursday morning as new information 
becomes available.

The National Weather Service in Gaylord has issued a 

* Flood Warning for 
  The Pine River near Rudyard.
* from late tonight to Thursday evening....
* At 11:00 PM Wednesday the stage was 16.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by early tomorrow and continue to
  rise to near 18.0 feet by tomorrow morning. The river will fall 
  below flood stage by tomorrow afternoon.
* Impact...At 19.0 feet...Water reaches the deck of the Prairie Rd 
  bridge...and begins to flood the roadway.
