.SHORT TERM...Clear skies across the region this morning other
than some patchy valley fog which will diminish over the next few
hours. Expect sunny skies today with highs in the upper 50s and
60s. A weak short wave passing by to the north will result in 
cirrus moving through the forecast area overnight otherwise mainly
clear skies and cold with lows in the 20s and 30s. Winds remain

SHORT TERM...Today through Saturday...The ridge of high pressure 
over the eastern pacific Ocean will transition a little closer to 
the coast over the next couple of days. This will lead to warming 
temperatures through Friday and remain dry. Then a system moving 
over the top of the ridge will clip the region as it dives into the 
northern Rockies Saturday. Main impact will some cooler temperatures 
as a low level northerly flow ushers in some cooler Canadian air 
through the weekend. The freeze warning continues through early this 
morning around the Lower Columbia Basin. 

LONG TERM...Saturday night through Wednesday. Dry conditions with
mostly sunny days and chilly nights will continue through the 
extended period as a strong ridge of high pressure moves over the 
area.  There will be some patchy fog during the late night and early 
morning hours early next week as the center of the high moves over 
the Pacific Northwest. High temperatures will be near to slightly 
above seasonal values with overnight lows slightly below normal. 93

AVIATION...12z Tafs. VFR conditions should prevail over the next 24 
hours. Patchy early morning fog with vsby 4-6SM at KYKM will erode 
by mid morning with only some scattered high clouds through the day. 
Winds will be under 10kts. 93
