This hazardous weather outlook is for South Florida. .DAY ONE...TONIGHT Rip Currents: There is a high risk of rip currents for the Gulf coast beaches. There is a moderate risk of rip currents for the Atlantic coast beaches. Coastal Flooding: The Gulf coast beaches of South Florida could see a resistant of some minor coastal flooding from Michael and the King Tides with a possible 1 foot surge during high tide tonight. A Coastal Flood statement is in effect for the west coast beaches of South Florida. Thunderstorms: Isolated thunderstorms could develop over the Atlantic waters tonight. Lightning and gusty winds will be the main hazard with this activity. Waves: Seas of 5 to 7 feet are forecast for the offshore Gulf Waters. A Small Craft Advisory is in effect for the off shore Gulf Waters. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY Marine conditions will continue to be hazardous, especially in the off shore Gulf, due to the influence of Hurricane Michael. The High Risk of Rip Currents will continue for the west coast beaches of South Florida for Thursday. There is a slight chance of thunderstorms each day for the remainder of the week, and possibly into the weekend.
