  Cottonwood River at New Ulm affecting Brown County 
  
  Chippewa River at Durand affecting Buffalo and Pepin Counties
  
  Redwood River near Redwood Falls affecting Redwood County 

.Overview...
These river forecasts are based on observed precipitation over the 
past 4 days and little if any precipitation that is expected during 
the next 48 hours. The National Weather Service will monitor this 
situation and issue followup statements as conditions or forecasts 
change.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive cars through flooded areas.  Turn Around...Don't Drown.

  The Cottonwood River at New Ulm.
* until Saturday night.
* At  9:00 AM Thursday the stage was 11.8 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 12.3 feet by 
  after midnight tonight. The river will fall below flood stage late 
  Saturday morning.
* Impact...At 13.1 feet...Flood waters begin to impact Cottonwood 
  Street west of the river.
* Impact...At 11.0 feet...Flood waters begin to impact low lying 
  areas...and some roads along the river.

  The Chippewa River at Durand.
* from late tonight to Monday evening.
* At  9:45 AM Thursday the stage was 10.7 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by after midnight tonight and 
  continue to rise to near 14.5 feet by Saturday evening. The river 
  will fall below flood stage by Monday morning.
* Impact...At 13.0 feet...The basements of businesses along the river 
  begin to flood.
* Impact...At 12.5 feet...River Street in downtown Durand begins to 
  flood.

  The Redwood River near Redwood Falls.
* until Wednesday morning.
* At  9:30 AM Thursday the stage was 6.6 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 6.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will fall slightly today but will begin to 
  rise again on Friday to near 6.7 feet by Sunday evening. The 
  river will fall below flood stage Tuesday afternoon.
* Impact...At 6.0 feet...Low lying areas, mainly farmland, and some 
  roads along the river begin to experience flooding.
