PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two 
feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around don't drown.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Cow Creek Near Lyons.
* Until Saturday evening.
* At  8:16 AM Thursday the stage was 19.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by 
  late Saturday morning.
* Impact...At 18.8 feet...The county road that is 1000 feet south of 
  gaging site along the right bank begins to flood.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Cow Creek near Hutchinson.
* Until further notice.
* At  8:15 AM Thursday the stage was 12.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 9.5 feet.
* Record flooding is occurring and Record flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 13.2 feet by 
  early Friday afternoon then begin falling.
* Impact...At 13.0 feet...Flood waters begin to affect the road 500 ft
  east of the 82nd Avenue creek bridge. The home on the north side of
  the road in this area may become flooded.
