...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Upper 
Michigan...

  Sturgeon River near Chassell affecting Houghton County

.Heavy rain from earlier this week has pushed the Sturgeon River 
level up at Chassell to above flood stage. The river is expected remain 
above flood stage until later Friday. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...Even 6 inches of fast moving flood water can knock 
you off your feet...and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never 
try to walk...swim...or drive through such swift water. If you come 
upon flood waters...stop...turn around and go another way.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Sturgeon River near Chassell.
* from this morning to Friday afternoon.
* At  7:50 AM Thursday the stage was 10.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.5 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 11.5 feet tonight. 
  The river will fall below flood stage Friday afternoon.
* At 10.5 feet...The river begins to overflow onto Sturgeon River 
  Road...Rajala Road...and Aho Road.
