At 516 AM EDT, Doppler radar estimates and river gages indicated that the risk of flooding over the area remained high. Since last night, 3 to 4 inches have fallen, with locally higher amounts. An additional up to 0.5 inches are possible over eastern Morgan, Putnam and Jones counties. Excessive runoff from the high rainfall rates continues to drain into river basins, and rises of area creeks and rivers are still possible. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
