...THE FLOOD WARNING FOR SMALL STREAMS HAS EXPIRED FOR 
ALLEGHANY...WILKES...WATAUGA AND ASHE COUNTIES IN NORTHWESTERN NORTH
CAROLINA...

The heavy rain has ended and flood waters are receding. However, 
heavy rainfall associated with the remnants of Hurricane 
Michael are moving north and will move back into this region over 
the next few hours.  A Flash Flood Watch remans in effect until 8 PM 
EDT for this area.  Please note, the threat for flooding 
has not ended. Additional Flash Flood Warnings and Flood Warnings 
are likely.

When it is safe to do so, please send your reports of flooding,
including mudslides or flooded roads, to the National Weather Service
by calling toll free at 1...8 6 6...2 1 5...4 3 2 4. Reports and
