The National Weather Service in Brownsville has issued a

* Arroyo and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
  Central Zapata County in Deep South Texas...

* Until 300 AM CDT.

* At 133 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to showers 
  and isolated thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small 
  stream flooding in the advisory area. 1 to 2 inches of rain have 
  fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Siesta Shores and Zapata--Medina. 

Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is expected over the area. This 
additional rain will result in minor flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain.
Arroyos, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a
matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.
