...THE FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 645 PM HST FOR THE
ISLAND OF HAWAII IN HAWAII COUNTY...

At 418 PM HST...radar continued to show heavy showers falling at 
rates of 1 to 3 inches per hour over the South Kona slopes. The most 
persistent heavy rainfall has been occurring just upslope of Kailua-
Kona and to the north near Palani Junction. Additional heavy showers 
are expected through the afternoon.

Locations in the advisory include but are not limited to...
Kailua-Kona, Kealakekua, Honalo, Captain Cook, Puuanahulu, Kalaoa,
Honaunau, Hawaiian Ocean View, Kahaluu-Keauhou, Kainaliu and
Holualoa.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to
flooding.

Rainfall and runoff will also cause hazardous driving conditions due
to ponding, reduced visibility and poor braking action.

Do not cross fast flowing or rising water in your vehicle, or on
foot. Turn around, don't drown.
