...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 300 PM CDT FOR
EASTERN JO DAVIESS...CARROLL AND STEPHENSON COUNTIES...

At 941 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain continuing across 
the warned area. Flash flooding is likely this morning as water 
continues to rapidly run off.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Freeport, Mount Carroll, Lena, Stockton, Lanark, Warren,
Milledgeville, Fairhaven, Pearl City, Shannon, Cedarville, Davis,
Chadwick, Dakota, German Valley, Winslow, Rock City, Ridott, Nora and
Argo Fay.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.

In hilly terrain there are low water crossings which are potentially
dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find
an alternate route.
