This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of south central
New Mexico, southwest New Mexico, and southwest Texas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

No hazardous weather will occur through this afternoon. A few 
showers and isolated thunderstorms possible tonight mainly after 
midnight with brief heavy rains occurring over several locations. 

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

The remnants of Hurricane Sergio will bring moderate to locally
heavy rainfall to much of the area Friday and Friday night. Up to 2 
inches of rain will fall over isolated locations resulting in 
flooding around several areas...especially low water 
crossings...poor drainage areas...around burn scars and along or 
near mountain slopes. A few rivers and small streams may overflow 
and some road closures may be required due to floodwaters.  

Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms Saturday through 
and Sunday with a chance for rain Monday through Tuesday.
Brief heavy rains possible over a few areas with minor water ponding 
or very minor flooding occurring around low crossings or poor 
drainage areas.

The rain may mix with or change to snow over the higher mountains 
above 7500 feet early Monday and early Tuesday mornings resulting in 
icy slippery roads over a few locations.   

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will may be required to report heavy rains or 
flooding mainly from Friday afternoon through early Saturday 
morning.
