Showers are expected to continue across northwestern portions of the forecast area, but thunderstorms are not expected at this time. Areas of frost are expected across northwestern portions of the forecast area tonight, or in other words, areas along and west of a line from Vega, Texas to Beaver, Oklahoma. Areas in Cimarron county may experience freezing temperatures tonight. Damage to sensitive vegetation may occur with these temperatures. Please see the latest freeze warning and frost advisory for more information. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday. Rainfall and isolated thunderstorms may occur Thursday through Monday, but severe weather is not anticipated at this time. There are some signs for potentially heavy rainfall across southern portions of the Texas Panhandle Saturday and Saturday night. With already saturated soils, this could cause more flooding across portions of the forecast area. A cold front will slide through Saturday, and freezing temperatures may occur Saturday night, Sunday night, and Monday night. Northwestern areas will be more likely to reach these temperatures. Sunday night lows are forecast to range from the mid 20s to the low 30s which will impact most of the Panhandles.
