The heaviest rainfall amounts will be south of a line from Quemado to Tucumcari. Flooding is not anticipated. A strong storm system combined with a potent cold front will arrive Saturday night and Sunday. Temperatures will be between 25 and 35 degrees below normal Sunday across eastern New Mexico behind the back door front. However, of greater concern, is the potential for an early season winter storm across the northern mountains and northeast New Mexico Sunday through Sunday night. Several inches of snow are possible.
